There will be an FCCLA meeting for Mrs. Schexnaider and Mrs. Wilkinson's classes after school on Thursday January 24th. We will discuss plans for our January service project and give details about the Galveston conference.

There will be a Criminal Justice club meeting today after school in room C 102. Any member who wants to go to contest must attend this meeting.

There will be a National Honor Society officer meeting Thursday morning at 7:15 in the library. All National Honor Society members will be Friday morning at 7:15 in the LGI.

Key Club has adopted a platoon of 30 U.S. Marines and are collecting items to put in care packages for the Platoon.  If you would like to participate, you can drop your items by Room C109 before or after school.  The list of items that can be sent is posted on the door to room C109 and in every classroom on campus. Care packages will be sent until April. Remember “One Care Package Can Make a World of Difference” to the men and women fighting for our country.

Parking tags will be issued during lunch this week only. You will need a copy of your driver's license and car insurance. Tags will not be issued any other time.

The Indian Players will be presenting their Coffee House Production on Friday, January 18 th at 7:30 p.m. in the black box. Be sure to come enjoy an evening full of entertainment.

There will be a financial aid workshop for parents on Thursday, January 17 th from 6:00 – 7:00 at PNGHS Cafeteria. Parents are encouraged to attend to find our important financial aid information needed before their student enters college.  Lamar campus representatives and local bank representatives will also be on site with information. Following this meeting will be a parent meeting for Project Graduation.

There will be a meeting for any girls interested in playing spring tennis today at 3:10 in the competition gym.

Yearbooks are on sale now for the 07-08 year. Make sure and reserve your copy at www.smart-pay.com or you can pick up an order form from Mrs. Miller at the front desk.

Any girl who wants to run track needs to see Coach Sheffield in room A 134. If you do not already have a physical on file, you will need to have one before you can practice. Girl's track tryouts will begin Jan 28.

Softball Tryouts Begin January 21st at 3:30 at the Softball Field.  Any girl interested in trying out MUST have a physical prior to that date.  If you need a physical form, please see Coach Fontenot, Coach Fesco or Coach Tyler.

Any boy interested in trying out for baseball needs to get an application from Coaches Stone, Cegielski, or Bean. Baseball tryouts begin Friday, January 25 th , and you must have a physical on file.

Members of the DECA chapter will be collecting change that you care to donate to MDA during the lunch periods every Friday through January.

The Discover Scholarship is available to eligible juniors. Apply on line at www.scholarshipadministrators.net or come by the counselors' office for a paper application. The deadline is January 31, 2008.
