All girls who are planning to run track need to meet with Coach Sheffield on Thursday, January 24 th in room A 134 immediately after school. The girls need to bring a completed physical form at that time. If you are unable to attend the meeting, see Coach Sheffield in A 134.

There will be a Thespian Meeting on Thursday morning at 7 a.m. in the black box. Attendance is mandatory.

The BPA Regional Leadership Conference was held on January 19, 2008, at Dayton High School .  PNG had three students advancing to the State Conference in Dallas , Texas to be held on March 5 through 7.  They are Buster D, 2 nd in Banking & Finance; Elizabeth P, 3 rd in Fundamental Accounting; and Serena N, 3 rd in Legal Office Procedures.  Congratulations to these BPA students.

Juniors: Junior newsletters, which contain important information, were sent out through your U. S. History classes this week. If you did not receive one, or do not have a history class, please pick up a newsletter form the counselor's office.

Class Favorite and King & Queen Petitions are available in the Student Activities Office. They must be returned by 3:15 on Wednesday, January 30 th

Parking tags will be sold in the CATE office during lunches only.

There will be a very important FTA meeting on Thursday at 7:20 am in A103 for those going to state convention.

There will be an FCCLA meeting for Mrs. Schexnaider and Mrs. Wilkinson's classes after school on Thursday January 24th. We will discuss plans for our January service project and give details about the Galveston conference.

Key Club has adopted a platoon of 30 U.S. Marines and is collecting items to put in care packages for the Platoon.  If you would like to participate, you can drop your items by Room C109 before or after school.  The list of items that can be sent is posted on the door to room C109 and in every classroom on campus. Care packages will be sent until April. Remember “One Care Package Can Make a World of Difference” to the men and women fighting for our country.

Any boy interested in trying out for baseball needs to get an application from Coaches Stone, Cegielski, or Bean. Baseball tryouts begin Friday, January 25 th , and you must have a physical on file.

Members of the DECA chapter will be collecting change that you care to donate to MDA during the lunch periods every Friday through January.

The Discover Scholarship is available to eligible juniors. Apply on line at www.scholarshipadministrators.net or come by the counselors' office for a paper application. The deadline is January 31, 2008.
