Any girl interested in playing tennis this spring must see Coach Ansel in C108 by the end of the day today.
Student Council is sponsoring a Valentine and Heart Sale. These will be sold during lunches and in B113. To have a valentine delivered, please know the person's 1 st and 5 th period class. Cards and hearts are $1.00.
Attention juniors and seniors!! If you are a senior and have not taken the SAT, you really need to register for the March 1 st test. Juniors should begin taking the test now for college admission for next year. It will be given on the PN-G campus but you must register online at www.collegeboard.com or come by the counseling office for a registration packet. The regular cost is $43. Late registration begins Feb 7 th and the cost will go up to $65. The next testing date will be May 3 rd .
Auditions for the UIL One-Act Play, “Passion, Poison, and Petrification” will be held today and tomorrow after school in the Black Box. Those wishing to audition should have a prepared monologue about one minute in length, preferable in a British accent. This year's Zone Competition will take place on March 17 th . If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Barclay in the Black Box.
Key Club members that are interested in running for an officer position for the 2008-2009 school year, please pick up your application at Mrs. Singleton's room C-109 before February 12. Elections will be held at the Feb. 12 th meeting.
All Students interested in entering the 2008 Coca-Cola “Share the Dream” Essay Contest may pick up information and application forms in the counselors' office. The theme will be “Who speaks for or inspires your generation and what are they saying? If you think no one does, what needs to be said?” Deadline for submission of essays is no later than March 5, 2008. Prizes range from $500-$2500 and personal computers.
Key Club has adopted a platoon of 30 U.S. Marines and is collecting items to put in care packages for the Platoon. If you would like to participate, you can drop your items by Room C109 before or after school. The list of items that can be sent is posted on the door to room C109 and in every classroom on campus. Care packages will be sent until April. Remember “One Care Package Can Make a World of Difference” to the men and women fighting for our country.

Congratulations: to Courtney G who received a t1st division at the UIL Piano contest; to the cast, crew, and directors of “High School Musical” for their successful show this weekend; to the 50 medalists at UIL Solo & Ensemble contest, and the 19 members who qualified for the Texas State Solo & Ensemble contest in May; to the Academic Challenge Team for winning 3 rd place in the LU Texana Challenge, and winning a $1000 scholarship to Lamar; to the debate team of Caleb F and Seth H for winning first place at the district meet, and qualifying for the state meet in Austin.
