There will be an informational meeting for all students interested in competing in UIL Computer Applications in Room D-104 after school on Wednesday, November 7 immediately after school.  Handbooks and other study materials will be handed out at that time.  Please see Ms. Shipman if you are interested but unable to attend the meeting.  Come see what this award-winning program is all about and how we have advanced to the state level of competition for the past six years in a row. 

Key club will be taking donations for “Operation Christmas Child”. All donations can be made before school and after school in room C109. Also, during all lunches, there will be a drop off station at the front of the cafeteria. Small items are needed such as hygiene products, pens, pencils, colors, coloring books, picture books, small cars, small balls, etc. A list of items needed is posted on the coor to C109 and in the cafeteria. We also need shoeboxes to pack these items.

The boy's tennis team will practice today at 3:30 p.m.

Earth Club will meet today at 3:05-3:20pm.  Students who are interested in "going green" should be encouraged to attend this meeting and join earth club. See you there.

Student Council members are reminded to order t-shirts and hoodies by Friday. 

Any student who is interested in trying out for the boy's soccer team needs to come by room A 115 to pick up a physical form. Tryouts begin November 26 th at 3:15 p.m.

The spirit contest for the Central game runs through Friday. Bring your can goods and turn them in to the front of the cafeteria or to room A 142. Help us CAN CENTRAL!

This is Red Ribbon Week. Days are as follows: Friday – Indians are proud to be drug free – wear purple. Pictures will be taken each morning at 7:35 in the cafeteria. Dress up and join the fun! Hats and caps are not allowed on these days.

This week's clue for the CJ Club contest is…“This guy really needs an extreme makeover, good thing he can stop by cosmo and get a manicure and facial then head over to apparel to update his red and green sweater.  But if your makeover includes sleeping in class, be careful because he'll get you in your dreams. “

Juniors:  You will be receiving a junior bulletin from Mrs. DeRon, your counselor, in your history classes this week.  If you do not receive one or are not in a history class, you may pick up a copy in the counselors' office.

The UIL Spelling team needs to meet in B-109 after school today to take a practice test. Please see Mrs. Wiggins for a schedule of future meetings if you can't make it.

There will be a National Honor Society meeting at 7:15 a.m. Friday in the LGI. All members must attend.

Last Saturday the members of the debate team competed at the Bridge City Cardinal Classic Speech Tournament. Everyone did a splendid job! The CX team of Benjamin H and Jamie C brought home the first place trophy. All of the LDers brought home trophies: Chad S - 4th, Crystal D - 5th, and Thomas G - 6th. Also competing in the CX rounds was the team comprised of Caleb F and Brendan H.
