Student Council members are reminded to stop by B113 and sign up for all November and December events.  There are many opportunities for school and community service points.   Galveston Mid-Winter Retreat is coming up in January. Now is the time to get all the points needed to be one of the 15 students chosen to attend this workshop.  The Student Council annual Fall Scavenger Hunt will be held tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the LGI.  Any student interested, is welcome to join the hunt.  No committee meetings will be held this Monday.  See Mrs. Yosko, in B113, if you have any questions about this event.

Juniors and Seniors: Lamar State College-Port Arthur will be hosting the Mid/South County College Night at the Carl Parker Multi-Purpose Building 1800 Lakeshore Drive on Tuesday, December 4 from 6:00pm -8:00pm

Key club will be taking donations for “Operation Christmas Child”. All donations can be made before school and after school in room C109. Also, during all lunches, there will be a drop off station at the front of the cafeteria. A list of items needed is posted on the door to C109 and in the cafeteria. We also need shoeboxes to pack these items.

Any student who is interested in trying out for the boy's or girl's soccer team needs to come by room A 115 to pick up a physical form. Tryouts begin November 26 th at 3:15 p.m. Girls may see Coach Bates or Coach Werkheiser.

Playoff t-shirts are available at Mrs. Miller's desk. $15 – short sleeve; $18 long sleeve

National Honor Society will be hosting its annual blood drive on November 27 th from 1:30 – 5 p.m. in the HOSA room in loving memory of our friend Karmen Dupuis. Come out and support a life-sharing event.

First Priority is each and every Tuesday morning in the Choir Room at 7 a.m. Enjoy donuts and orange juice then dig into the word with us. Everyone is invited.

Key Club officer meeting will be moved from Tuesday at 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. right before our regular club meeting. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Singleton. Also, thanks for al members that participated in the Shorkey Center Christmas Card Sale and the Operation Greentree project. Great Work. Key Club members who have not turned in your emergency cards or your UNICEF boxes, please do so by today at 3 p.m. in room C109.

Seniors: you should have received a senior newsletter in your government class. If you did not get one, or you do not take Government, you may pick up a copy in the counselor's office. There is important information about scholarships, deadlines, college open house dates and SAT score report information.

Sophomores: the service organization, Kiwanis Club has 20 scholarships of $600 each available to sophomores in Texas and Oklahoma . If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, you may pick up the application in the counselor's office. The deadline to return the application is Friday, November 16 th .
