About Ms. Shipman

Welcome to my website! I will be teaching Business Computer Information Systems (BCIS I) and Keyboarding for the 2007-2008 school year.

I am a nineteen-year veteran business teacher with all accumulated years of experience at PN-G. After graduating from the Reservation in 1983, I attended Lamar University-Beaumont where I earned my Bachelors of Business Administration in Office Administration with a Business Composite teacher certification in 1987. During the 2003-2004 school year, I completed twelve on-line post-baccalaureate hours from the University of North Texas to earn an additional certification in Technology Applications.

I have attended numerous conventions, conferences, seminars/workshops, and in-services. I must say that being part of the first Intel Teach to the Future group where I earned 40 hours of professional development was a challenging, yet rewarding experience.

Some of my additional duties/honors during my years of service are listed below:

UIL Computer Applications Coach-1996-Present

Students have either swept or placed in the top three places at district competition for the last eleven years.

One to three students have always represented PN-G at UIL Academic Regional competition since 1996.
